DECA awards for emerging leaders and entrepreneurs

Students who are advancing in DECA competition

Business management, entrepreneurship,  finance, hospitality and tourism, marketing, financial literacy: these are the focus areas of DECA, a club dedicated to preparing leaders and entrepreneurs.

Earlier this month, more than 60 Edgemont students competed in the New York State DECA conference in Rochester. Eighteen earned a bid to compete at the International Career Development Conference in Atlanta in late April.

“Our students did a fantastic job representing our school with professionalism and excellence,” said Principal Kyle Hosier. “Congratulations to all of our DECA students and their advisor Michele Merlini on this outstanding achievement!"
