The Panther Dome buzzed with creativity and excitement as the community gathered for the 3rd Annual STEAM Fair on May 19.

The highly anticipated, interactive event featured 50 projects prepared by students in grades 6–12. "Congratulations to all of our student participants for their hard work, creativity and commitment to exploring the wonders of STEAM," said Paul Garofano, Edgemont's director of technology and STEAM coordinator. "The investigations and experiments exhibited by the students were so dynamic. It was also great to see families and friends support the participants and celebrate all things STEAM in Edgemont."

Andrea Nash, the district's K–12 instructional technology specialist and a STEAM Fair judge, said, "This year's STEAM Fair was a powerful showcase of the creativity, innovation and perseverance of our students. After months of research, design, testing, and problem-solving, each project stood as a true representation of the hard work and dedication our students put forth. We are incredibly proud of the passion and commitment displayed by every participant."

Beyond the student exhibits, the fair offered plenty of fun for all ages. Visitors enjoyed a variety of local food trucks and explored a crowd-favorite: the Robotics Playground, proudly hosted by Edgemont’s own robotics team, where guests could enjoy hands-on experience with student-built technology.

"This was one of the most impressive events at Edgemont that we've been to--and we've been here for more than a decade!" said a parent of one of the participants.
