Sophia Kumar broke her own pole-vaulting record more than once, capturing the Westchester County championship! Girls Fencing won the league championship … in their inaugural season!

The Boys Ski Team won the South League Championship for the second year in a row! These and more are some of Edgemont Athletics’ winter headlines that Athletic Director Anthony DeRosa shared with the community at the February 10 Board of Education meeting.

Superintendent Kenneth R. Hamilton also offered his congratulations to the students. He linked the traits that led to their success to Edgemont’s Profile of a Graduate, a framework of skills that prepares students for life after high school.

“The athletes’ commitment, countless hours of practice, discipline and teamwork come to life not only in winning, but in applying those skills in the classroom and in life,” he said.
